Once I finally made the commitment to a healthier 40 something, Carla’s personalized approach to fitness training was great. As a busy professional with changing daily schedules, she is always open to working with me and my schedule. With a changed diet and my exercise appt. I was able to change 4 dress sizes in a year. After my husband saw the change in me he signed up with his personal goal of surfing Waikiki at nearly 60 years old. He made that goal and continues working out today. I think it is a great thing that Carla & Wendy do for me and my fellow employees – They are great trainers and great people, we have lots of fun in class and get a great workout too!! I love going to class every Monday and Wednesday!! I think that more people should take advantage of the services that Carla’s Personal Fitness offers.

I'm in my fifties and have always been generally healthy and fit. However, though my middle forties my work schedule made it difficult for me to maintain a consistent level of fitness. At the same time, dealing with my "changing body" I gained weight, wasn't sleeping well, didn't feel good. I realized that I didn't have energy wasn't in a good mood and most importantly, wasn't setting a good example for my three daughters. Since working with Carla on not only my fitness, but my health, I feel better, look better, and have three daughters who enjoy exercising and being healthy together. They get a kick out of their strong mom, and hopefully will set the same example for their children.

Carla was my personal trainer twice a week and helped me tremendously to get back into a fitness routine. She was able to show me strength and toning exercises that didn't require large equipment. I am still able to fit these exercises into my daily routine. She was able to improve my endurance so that I was able to get back into playing tennis which I now enjoy 3-4 times a week. She was so enthusiastic that I had her organize a boot camp in the my neighborhood at 5:45am twice a week. We had over 10 women participate. Carla is awesome!

I want to take this opportunity to thank-you for your friendship and support. I know I would not be in the best shape I have ever been in, if it were not for you. I started working out with you in June 2004 doing the boot camp 4 days a week—thought I was going to die! You kept encouraging me and telling me I could do it, and I did. With my clubfeet, I never thought I would be able to run a couple feet let alone the 15 miles a week I do now. I really enjoy the friendship that we have and enjoy the workouts we share, even though there are some things I don’t enjoy doing, but you put up with the whining. I get so many compliments that I get better looking the older I get, and thanks to you I have a roll model. Fitness is definitely a lifestyle change, you got through to me that it is something that you always have to have the time for, and I’m so glad I listened to you and stuck with it!

I started training with Carla about a year ago and, in 11 months I've improved my strength and endurance. Carla is a great motivator and her whole philosophy is about making realistic diet and exercise changes for a lifetime. When I first started I wasn't in bad shape and I wasn't overweight, but I didn't have the strength and endurance I wanted and I felt as though I was slowly gaining weight. In the beginning, I wasn't losing the weight I wanted or seeing results BUT she encouraged me to stick with it and just in the last few months my body has finally given in and my clothes are fitting well! Carla has been amazingly flexible in working with my hectic travel schedule. She keeps me moving through the whole workout and keeps it tough but fun.
